Wow! The Congolese people really know how to party! Last night my current companion and I went to a packed house party where we found ourselves eating the best African food at midnight amidst 50 of the kindest people ever- who were having the best time drinking and dancing the night away to these booty-shakin' Congolese videos that they had cranking! (And I mean cranking..through dinner and all!). I never saw so much food at a house party! I was so thrilled to see so many of my former students who I had not seen in ages! Needless to say- we had the BEST time!
