Since I haven't gotten my hands on a Fun House mirror yet (scroll down to old post), I decided to spend Sunday detoxing my system and eating well...and plan on doing this every Sunday. Since I love my juicer I decided to just drink fruit/vegetable juices all day and then eat a simple healthy dinner. So here's how it went..
8:30am: Carrot-Celery-Parsley Juice
10:45 am: Beet and Apple Juice
12:45pm: Pineapple and Cucumber Juice
2:30pm: Green Apple, Kale and Spinach Juice
All of these were so yummy (really!)...but as you can see I have to be consistent with drinking them because I am NOT one to NOT eat, and this kept me from getting too headachey. More than 2 hours and I would have been taking a bite out of my own arm.
Then at 5pm it was real food for dinner!
Quinoa Burgers on wheat buns (thanks Jodi!) with a side of roasted kale....
If I don't leave the house, I'm pretty sure I can devote Sunday to juicing and a simple dinner. (If I DO leave the house, well, maybe not so much!)
