Hello friends! I haven't blogged as much lately cause it's that time of year! Busy, busy. My house is a mess, littered with Christmas decor that needs to get it's act together because next weekend Sandy and Vivian are coming for a visit!
I've been trying to make gifts every chance I get, but it seems there's never enough time in the day! I've also been trying out some little projects from Amy's Inspired Ideas online magazine. Such cute things there. I finished a bright yarn wreath...
It got quite addicting making these yarn pom-poms. The wreath really cheers up my kitchen!
as do these little candy bouquets Amy shows you how to put together:
The other night as I was falling asleep I had this idea to make a fabric snowman and couldn't wait to get up and do it! You ever have those nighttime ideas that just pop into your head out of nowhere? And then you can't sleep? Well this guy is what I was thinking of...
I've always loved this moon man face and wanted to make him into a snowman, complete with branch arms from my pear tree. I just love this face for a snowman!
I'd show you more projects, but then I'd be revealing gifts too soon so it will have to wait!
This morning, before getting back to Christmas tree trimming I was able to sit and read the newest Artful Blogging thanks to Alisa !
Her gorgeous blog is featured and I won a copy from her! Look at how beautifully she wrapped it up. And look at the pretty extras she generously included...
Thank you so much Alisa!
So as you can imagine, a certain 6 year old is super excited for the holidays! I caught her saddling up her sleigh last night when I went to her room to check on what she was doing. She inventively turned her baby buggy into a sleigh and became the man himself!
I just love her age! There's nothing like Christmas with a 6 year old!
So next on the agenda...laundry, out for tacos with my cousin, make a grocery list, clean up a couple thousand messes and hopefully finish some more gifts!
What are you up to this weekend?
