Hello there! Just popping in to update whoever cares on what my last few days have been like! (or more because I am a natural documenter and imagine printing this blog out for myself someday when I have a million dollars because I might like to look back and see what I was up to! ha!)
I failed to mention that the other day I was thrilled to be surprised by a super-special-someone literally showing up at the doorstep and paying me a visit! My first serious boyfriend/best friend whom I haven't seen in over 10 years!! He was my first serious high-school boyfriend, and I brought him up to VT with me for college- and dropped him at a neighboring college (close but not too close, hehe!)- and after college we went our separate ways (him to NYC and me to CA) but always remained good friends. For a bunch of years we lost touch, and now just recently got back in touch, and Monday was the first time I was able to see him in ages! It was so nice to reconnect even though we didn't have much time. He's seriously always been one of my very favorite people on the planet.
Monday was also the first day at my new school and I can honestly say these new students of mine are just as awesome as my old ones! I knew they would be. I only have 13: 10 from Burma, 1 from Somalia, and 2 from Bhutan, ages 24-52. I've had such a great week with them so far, and I love the new school site. I even have an air conditioner in my classroom now! woohoo!
Let's see, what else...as you can see in the above picture, I am still juicing! Today's after-work drink was Beet-Carrot-Apple-Nectarine and it was so good! And it just so happens that today's prompt over at my flickr photo group is "Beverages".
So I'm aching to work on my art journals more but the days are flying by! I am about to make some salad for dinner, and then I MUST give the garden a good watering again! It's been so hot and dry for days. I wouldn't mind a little of that rain we had last month right about now.
My foot update is that I'm back to the world of the walking!! I barely limp now and I can actually wash my foot! I almost forget how to walk normally after walking on the side of my foot for 2 weeks!
Ok, so I'm off now to go check on what this girl is up to, and get something productive done, but I will certainly be back real soon...
Thanks for visiting!
