Well today marks the end of the first month of the new year. Only one month and yet it seems so much can happen in such a short amount of time. Each month always brings with it reminders, lessons, and moments of reflection.
Here's a few things that January reminded or taught me.....
1. Scarlet loves Tim Horton's hot cocoa, but not hot, and with some added milk. Her Poppy took her sledding the other day and picked her up a hot cocoa to bring home with her and she thought it was the best thing ever.
2. I'm always some form of tired.
3. Vomit = A Bad Time. Especially with identifiable food gracing it.
4. You never know what a new day might bring; who or what will turn up unexpectedly.
5. I love spinning class.
6. People in countries at war have seen and lived things that I will (hopefully) never be able to imagine experiencing.
7. Some people have very little empathy.
8. It's good to try food that someone recommends you in a restaurant.
9. Internet jukeboxes should not have a "skip" button allowed on them.
10. It's possible to use plain yogurt in place of sour cream and not feel you're missing that much.
11. My mom is still the best.
12. I suck at predicting shipping costs.
13. I miss birds in the winter.
14. Red and pink make me happy.
15. I'll probably never feel that I have enough time to do what I want to do.
16. Listening and refraining are two things that I'm working on.
17. I wish others would listen and refrain more too.
18. I should get new sneakers.
